Nick hails from the New York City area where he attended school in Chappaqua and the Bronx. He graduated in 2020 from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology. While attending UR, Nick worked in the lab of Dr. Kelly Lambert to investigate the anxiolytic and neuroimmune effects of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium probiotic supplementation on Long-Evans rats. At UVA, Nick is working to elucidate the immediate and long-term neuroimmune effects of COVID on the central nervous system with a variety of rodent models and human clinical data. He is co-mentored by Dr. John Lukens and Dr. William Petri. Outside the lab, Nick enjoys playing tennis, visiting local wineries, and watching football.
